Samel's cottage is located in Brajovica katun in " Prokletije" National Park at around 1750m of altitude.

Comfortably  furnished two – storey log house and two bungalows are at your disposal and meals prepared by your hosts will be spiced by an amazing view to the hillsides and peaks of the surrounding mountains. The beauty of this place can hardly be described by words. 


Here you will experience silence in its true sense, enjoy under the shining stars and taste the best traditional dishes. Don't  miss to taste blueberries aboundantly growing on a meadow in the vicinity of a log house. This place is a genuine paradise for nature lovers -  for those who are ready to conquer the highest mountainous peaks, try riding bicycles on mountain air.


From this place following the marked trail, you can easily reach Hridsko Lake – It will take you about one hour walk through a picturesque area embroidered by coniferous forest leading to the "lake of happiness". When the view opens towards the lake the reason for proclaming Hridsko Lake a nature reserve becomes clear.

Winter activities in Montenegro

North of Montenegro offers various activities during winter since it is very mountainous area. Activities include snowshoeing, skiing, caving, visits to local households, rural tourism, snow mobile rides, Nordic skiing....


The katuns are active from mid- May till mid September, when farmers move back to their villages. As in all other katuns, the whole life here is dedicated to caring for cattle and to cheese making.


Peaks of the Balkans - This 192km circuit will take you through the mountains of northern Albania, eastern Kosovo and southern Montenegro. The official route offers a diversity of landscapes and cultural experiences, but it does include a few asphalt road segments.
